SCORING SUMMARY

FIRST QUARTER

OAKLAND: Eric Turner, 35-yard interception return, 5 minutes 4 seconds left (Greg Davis kick).
How they scored: Oakland drove 47 yards in 14 plays but had to punt after George Koonce tackled Napoleon Kaufman for minus-5 on a second-down blitz. Brett Favre passed 15 yards to Mark Chmura for a first down but then the Packers went in reverse. Raymont Harris lost 2 when Lance Johnstone cut inside an attempted block by Ross Verba. Earl Dotson was penalized 5 yards for a false start. Johnstone tackled William Henderson for no gain, setting up third and 17. Out of a base formation, Antonio Freeman ran an in-pattern against rookie cornerback Charles Woodson. The ball was there to be caught, although Woodson had tight coverage, but it caromed off Freeman's hands, bounced high into the air and was intercepted by Turner. The free safety then raced 35 yards untouched into the end zone. "They like to get a slant on the back side," Turner said. "I told Charles to protect the slant and I would cover deep if they went slant and go. Charles did a great job jumping the ball. I had the easy part."
Raiders 7, Packers 0.

SECOND QUARTER

OAKLAND: Rickey Dudley, 17-yard pass from Donald Hollas, 11:42 left (Davis kick).
How they scored: Doug Pederson replaced Favre to open the second quarter. On his first play he fumbled the exchanged from Frank Winters and linebacker Mike Morton recovered at the Green Bay 20. After Harvey Williams rushed for 3, Hollas, in for Jeff George to open the second quarter, hit Dudley, his big tight end, in the middle of the field against Bernardo Harris. Dudley spun away from Harris at the 11, cut back and ran over Tyrone Williams at the goal line. "He cut in real close and I held him a little bit," Harris said. "The quarterback bought some time and he got away from me. I should have made the play. It's a big play in the game."
The drive: Two plays, 20 yards, 0:41 time of possession. Raiders 14, Packers 0.

OAKLAND: Davis, 54-yard field goal, 10:00 left.
How they scored: On the Packers' second play from scrimmage, another snap from Winters to Pederson fell on the ground and safety Calvin Branch recovered at the Green Bay 39. Seth Joyner forced Hollas into a second-down incompletion and Mike Prior broke up a pass on third and 7.
The drive: Four plays, 3 yards, 0:47. Raiders 17, Packers 0.

GREEN BAY: Derrick Mayes, 14-yard touchdown pass from Pederson, 4:53 left (Brett Conway kick).
How they scored: On first and 20, Hollas threw a deep pass down the middle to tight end Jeremy Brigham, who had stopped short on his route. The wayward aerial went right to Prior, who returned 13 yards to the Oakland 36. Pederson hit Chmura for 10 and Bill Schroeder for 12. Chmura dropped a 9-yard pass at the 5 on first down, but on third and 10 Mayes eluded the linebackers and Pederson drilled the ball to him just before Branch could make the play.
The drive: Five plays, 36 yards, 1:20. Raiders 17, Packers 7.

OAKLAND: Rodney Williams, 25-yard pass from Hollas, 0:16 left (Davis kick).
How they scored: On second and 3, tight end Derek Brown was left wide open in front of the Green Bay bench and Hollas found him for 16 yards. LeRoy Butler sacked Hollas for a loss of 9 but tackle Lincoln Kennedy recovered the fumble. On third and 14, Williams ran a deep comeback against Tyrone Williams for 18. On second and 10, Rodney Williams ran a post-corner route and left Chris Darkins well behind him as Hollas delivered a touchdown pass at the right corner.
The drive: 12 plays, 73 yards, 4:37. Raiders 24, Packers 7.

THIRD QUARTER

GREEN BAY: Roell Preston, 17-yard pass from Pederson, 5:49 left (Conway kick).
How they scored: Davis missed a field-goal attempt from 51 yards, enabling the Packers to start from their 41. On third and 11, tight end Tyrone Davis beat linebacker James Folston down the middle for a gain of 26 yards. "You saw a little bit of the threat (Davis) can be," coach Mike Holmgren said. Ronnie Anderson ran a comeback route against cornerback Perry Carter for 13 to the Oakland 21. After Travis Jervey gained 4 and fullback Emory Smith dropped a first-down pass inside, Preston caught a 17-yard touchdown pass with linebacker Mike Morton giving chase. "Based on the pattern reads I was supposed to push him into someone in the back," Morton said. "And someone blew it back there."
The drive: Seven plays, 59 yards, 2:22. Raiders 24, Packers 14.

OAKLAND: Davis, 30-yard field goal, 1:53 left.
How they scored: Hollas hit Williams for 11 against Darkins, then wide receiver Kenny Shedd for 24. Shedd came across the middle of the field and wasn't picked up. "The key to the play is patience," Shedd said. "You let everyone clear out and you have to pass over the linebackers." On third and 3, Hollas hit running back Jermaine Williams for 12 in the right flat. From the 17, Randy Jordan rushed for 5, Eric Curry forced an incompletion on an attempted bootleg and Pat Terrell broke up a pass in the end zone that he might have intercepted.
The drive: 10 plays, 68 yards, 3:56. Raiders 27, Packers 14.

FOURTH QUARTER

GREEN BAY: Corey Bradford, 5-yard touchdown pass from David Klingler, 0:54 left (Conway kick).
How they scored: Lee DeRamus broke a tackle on a short sideline pass and turned it into a 34-yard gain. On fourth and 3, Klingler hit Anderson for 9. Tyrone Davis caught a pass for 26 to the Oakland 4. After a pass lost a yard, Bradford ran a slant inside cornerback Butler By'not'e for the touchdown. "I thought, 'We're at the goal line, we have to get in,' " Bradford said. "I got the call, and I just concentrated on the ball and looked it in."
The drive: 10 plays, 88 yards, 2:18. Raiders 27, Packers 21.
