SCORING SUMMARY

FIRST QUARTER

No scoring.

SECOND QUARTER

PHILADELPHIA: David Akers, 43-yard field goal, 2 minutes left. How they scored: Bernardo Harris made a nice breakup on a 30-yard pass down the middle to tight end Chad Lewis. On third and 4, fullback Cecil Martin caught an 11-yard pass in the left flat off a play fake. Charles Johnson caught an 8-yard pass that was tipped by Nate Wayne in flight. Three plays later, Wayne didn't move out to cover tight end Luther Broughton when he lined up as a split receiver and Donovan McNabb hit him with a 10-yard pass. From the 26, David Bowens strung out a sweep by Duce Staley and tackled him for no gain, Brian Mitchell gained 1 up the middle and Tyrone Williams broke up a rollout pass to Na Brown. The drive: 11 plays, 41 yards, 5:40 time of possession. Eagles 3, Packers 0.

THIRD QUARTER

GREEN BAY: Ryan Longwell, 37-yard field goal, 6:08 left. How they scored: Penetration by Cletidus Hunt enabled Bernardo Harris to tackle Staley for minus-8 on a sweep, forcing a punt. On the first play, Dorsey Levens followed William Henderson's lead block off right guard for 17 yards. Levens dropped a second-down swing pass and then Favre missed Bill Schroeder on a deep seam route, but on the play safety Brian Dawkins gave the Packers a first down with a holding penalty away from Schroeder. On third and 10, Hugh Douglas beat Mike Wahle and pressured Brett Favre. Linebacker Mike Caldwell picked up Favre's fumble and raced about 50 yards for an apparent touchdown, but safety Damon Moore was penalized for illegal contact and the Packers had a first down at the Philadelphia 48. "Maybe they (the Packers) gave them more money than we did," a laughing Moore said in reference to the officials. Levens lost 2 on a naked pitch, but Donald Driver found a hole in zone coverage and Favre zipped it to him for 24 yards at the 26. From there, linebacker Carlos Emmons stopped Levens for minus-4, Dawkins jarred a seam pass loose from Tyrone Davis' grasp at the 7 and Levens bounced outside for 11 on third and 14. The drive: 12 plays, 57 yards, 5:07. Packers 3, Eagles 3.

FOURTH QUARTER

GREEN BAY: Longwell, 38-yard field goal, 0:03 left. How they scored: Tod McBride broke up a third-down pass to Alex Van Dyke, forcing a punt. Favre had all day to throw on the first play but didn't get rid of it and Hollis Thomas sacked him for minus-7. Favre then drilled a 16-yard turn-in route to Freeman against Troy Vincent, and Levens barreled through right tackle for 9 on third and 1. Davis split wide right, came inside off short motion and found a big gap in zone coverage for a 15-yard reception. "He had the flu all week," coach Mike Sherman said, referring to Davis. "He was vomiting before the game and during the game." After Ahman Green gained 1, Green took a swing pass in the left flat against a blitz, broke a tackle and gained 16 to the Philadelphia 30 at the 2-minute warning. Green failed to gain but Freeman again beat Vincent inside for 12 yards to the 18. From there, Levens carried twice for 1 and Favre lost 3 as he positioned the ball squarely in the middle of the field for the winning field-goal attempt. "I really thought he'd make it because he's such an accurate kicker," said Eagles punter Sean Landeta, Longwell's teammate in Green Bay in 1998. The drive: 12 plays, 60 yards, 5:17. Packers 6, Eagles 3.
