SCORING SUMMARY

Scrimmage

Packers   1st Offense vs. 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the receiving team's 40.
QB Brett Favre opened up the scrimmage with a short pass over midfield to RB Ahman Green for 4 yards. On 2nd-6, Favre threw up a bomb to WR Corey Bradford, who couldn't catch up with the ball as he raced along the sideline near the end zone. Facing third down, WR Antonio Freeman took the ball on an end around for a first down. From the kicking team's 49, Green took a handoff up the middle for 4 yards. On the next play, Favre found Freeman for a first down and a gain of 6. After an encroachment penalty on the defense, Favre threw a 34-yard strike to Freeman (in stride) for the TD. On the conversion, Favre nailed FB William Henderson for 2 points.
Stat -- Freeman, 7 yards rushing, 2 receptions for 40 yards and a TD.
Situation -- The 2nd offense will take the field.

Packers    2nd Offense vs. 1st and 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the receiving team's 40.
Ball starts at the receiving team's 40. Doug Pederson started at QB for the 2nd offense. After a 2-yard carry by RB De'Mond Parker, Pederson found TE David Martin for 7 yards. Parker rallied the 2nd offense for a first down on a 3-yard gain up the middle. One play later from the opposing team's 37, Parker picked up another 4 yards. WR Charles Lee got his squad close to a first down on a 5-yard slant, but the offense was called for a false start penalty on the next play. Facing 3rd-long, WR Donald Driver couldn't haul in Pederson's high pass. Punt.
Stat -- Parker, 3 runs for 9 yards.
Situation -- Favre will return to lead the next series.

Packers   1st Offense vs. 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the receiving team's 40.
With Favre at the helm, RB Rondell Mealey gained 7 yards total on a run and a reception. Facing 3rd-3, Favre's quick toss to WR Bill Schreoder at the sideline was inches shy of a first down. Mealey then converted the first down with a 5-yard burst around the left corner. With a new set of downs, Favre rifled to Schroeder in the flat for a gain of 16. From the 28, Freeman dropped a pass in the corner of the end zone. Favre corrected the mistake on the next play however, delivering a strike to a leaping Bradford for a 28-yard TD.
Stat -- Favre, 50 yards passing.

Packers   2nd Offense vs. 1st and 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the receiving team's 40. QB Billy Joe Tolliver got his first series in the offense and on the second play he drilled Lee in the flat for 26 yards to the opposing team's 28. Two plays later however, Tolliver's pass on 3rd-long sailed through the reaching grab of Lee. K Ryan Longwell booted a 47-yard FG to cap the drive.
Stat -- Lee, 26 yards receiving.
Situation -- Tolliver will again lead the 2nd offense.
Points -- 1st Offense 15, 2nd Offense 3, 1st Defense 0, 2nd Defense 0.
Packers   2nd Offense vs. 1st and 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the receiving team's 40.
On another series guided by Tolliver, the offense stalled during the first series after several short runs and miscues. Facing 3rd-long from their own 45 however, Tolliver threw a strike to WR Robert Ferguson in the flat for 20 yards and a first down. One play later, Tolliver threw a short pass to RB Herbert Goodman for another first down to the 18. TE David Martin brought his squad to the 7 with a short reception near the sideline. And, on 3rd-goal from the 1, Mealey plowed into the end zone for a TD.
Stat -- Third TD of the game by both sides, 2 TD receptions, 1 run.
Situation -- The Packers will begin Red Zone work.
Points -- 1st Offense 15, 2nd Offense 10, 1st Defense 0, 2nd Defense 0.

Red Zone

Packers   1st Offense vs. 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the 20.
Favre opened the Red Zone installment with a pass that missed Freeman for a TD. On their next attempt however, Favre wasn't denied on a strike to a falling Schroeder in the corner of the end zone. Favre stayed in the game and hit Schroder for 10 yards, and the wide receiver danced his way into the end zone for another score. On the next series, Favre hit Henderson for a TD. The offense continued its Red Zone work with Favre at the helm and the offense moving to the 15-yard line, 10, and the 5. One highlight of the series was CB Kevin Kaesviharn's interception return for a TD.
Packers   1st Offense vs. 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the 20. Pederson got his share of Red Zone work in the next series. However, dropped passes plagued the series and the offense was unable to score.
Packers   2nd Offense vs. 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the 20.
Tolliver took his turn in the Red Zone and converted passing scores to TE Stevan Fontana, Mealey, and Bradford.

Two-Minute Drill

Packers   2nd Offense vs. 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the receiving team's 40. 1 minute and 40 seconds on the clock. Two timeouts.
Favre got the call on the first series. On 2nd down, Favre nailed Freeman for 25 yards, and the WR squirmed his way through defenders for 35 yards to the end zone. On the next series, Kaesviharn picked off Favre for the second time of the night and took the ball all the way to end zone for his second TD.
Packers   2nd Offense vs. 1st & 2nd Defense
Summary -- Ball starts at the -40. 1 minute and 5 seconds on the clock. One timeout. Pederson took over at QB. During the drive, the Packers received a scare when third-round draft pick CB Bhawoh Jue got tangled up on a long pass incompletion and had to be attended to by trainers. He walked off the field. On the next play, second-round pick Robert Ferguson missed a deep ball as he was running down the sideline. At the end of the series, Longwell missed and then converted a 48-yard FG.
