WWI Draft Registration Cards
Eugene Ralph Babcock Robert Austin Babcock

Gertrude Dorothy (Rohl) Babcock
Nov 01, 1852 - aft Jun 05, 1917
Irness Eugene Babcock
May 25, 1861 - 1905-1910
Married Sept 19, 1887
Hudson, St Croix Co, WI
Irness passed away between 1905 & 1910. In the 1905 MN State Census he is living with his family on Washington Ave, Crookston, Polk Co, MN. In the 1910 census Gertrude & the boys are in Dunn Co, North Dakota, where she's listed as a widow.

I've seen some documents that list Dorothy's maiden name as
Rohl, Royal or Magney. There's no mention of her after the 1914 Land Patent.

It's clear that Gertrude passed away after Jun 05, 1917, because she is listed on Eugene's draft registration of that date.
