I received an email from a distant cousin (also named Jeff) that mentions a diary.

Jeff wrote; "I should have added that the death of Jabez is also mentioned in the diary on page 12.
The exact date is not given but it puts his death in either late 1850 or early 1851."
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what "diary" he's talking about.
