God Loves You!

Many, many people across the world know John 3:16 and this is super important.

God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us so that we can go to heaven when we die. But I feel this is so incomplete... The rest of the story, atleast to me, is that He did NOT send His Son to to condemn us! He sent his Son to save us. Please read the passages below from John 3:16 - 18

John 3 : 16 - 1816 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

And He wants your love in return

Matthew 22 : 34 - 40

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.

35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:

36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?".

37 Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

39 And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.

40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

John 3 : 5

5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

So what is being "born of water and the Spirit" mean? To enter into the Kingdom of Heaven we need to ask God to send his Holy Spirit to fill our heart, to be "born of the Spirit". Being "born of the water" means to be baptized. To reap the rewards of God's love all you need to do is say a simple prayer. You may read the following, or ask Him in your own words.

Father, I know I am a sinner, and fall short of Your Glory, but I ask you now to come into my life & fill me. I want to be able to join you after this life. I want to know of Your love, I want to feel it. God, I am not the person You want me to be. I've let the world rule my life rather than you. Forgive me. Please help me be a better person, to my loved ones, to myself & most importantly to You. Please Father, show me Your love, give my life some direction. Help me to look to you for answers to life's questions. Father, please fill me. Amen.

There you go! It's that simple. Now, if you're not a church goer, shop for one. Yes, I said shop for one. Personally, I grew up in the Roman Catholic church. I'll be honest I HATED going. I thought it was dumb & boring. So I shopped around. For many years I was a member of a Methodist church. After moving to a new (very small) town, I found that the one local Methodist church just didn't feel right. So I began shopping again. I attended church with a friend. I liked it & became a member. Once more my relationship with God "just feels right". This time it's a Baptist church. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The only way you're going to figure out if it's right for you is if you have knowledge. And keep looking, believe me, you'll know when it's right.

Since you're still reading, I take it you've made that first step. Congratulations! I'm very proud of you. If you wish to contact me to find out more, click on the link at the bottom of this page. I'm not affiliated in any way with any organized ministry, so you won't be added to any mailing list. No one will call you or send any junk mail. And maybe most importantly, no one will bug you about donations. I'm willing to help because Jesus asked us to spread His good news. I promise I'll do my best to help you find your way.

And it won't cost you a dime!

May God bless you & keep you safe in your journeys! Amen.
